NEW ZONE: THE EMERALD DREAM

It's finally here, after years of speculation, we get to go to the Emerald Dream. The portion of the Emerald Dream that we get to explore can be accessed to the west of the Ohn'ahran Plains. Fyrakk has torn his way in and is wreaking havoc there as he tries to get to the new World Tree, Amirdrassil.
The Emerald Dream is a reflection of the wild world so, as you might expect, it resembles not only the western edge of the Ohn'ahran Plains, where the Green Dragonflight resides, but also Val'sharah, Ardenweald, Mount Hyjal, and other wild-centric zones. As in Mount Hyjal, the antithesis of the Emerald Dream, fire, is present as the antagonist. Where the Firelands menaced Mount Hyjal, Fyrakk does the same for the Emerald Dream. He even borrows a Firelands portal and the Druids of the Flame to bolster his forces.

The Emerald Dream Aesthetic

The aesthetic of the Emerald Dream is reminiscent of Ardenweald: lush, foresty, druidic, natural. Vines, butterflies, leaves, and other natural elements in the designs show off this aesthetic. Greens and blues evoke the seasons, while orange, red, and autumnal hues remind us not only of fall and the passing of all things, but also of the invader, Fyrakk, and fire. 

NEW RAID: AMIRDRASSIL, THE DREAM'S HOPE

The new raid is Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope. This is the tree that Tyrande and Malfurion planted in the Emerald Dream with the help of Merithra of the Dream earlier in the expansion. Fyrakk wants to use the tree for his own purposes and he gets a nine boss raid in which to make his case.

Having been carefully nurtured within the Emerald Dream, Amirdrassil is preparing to bloom and cross into Azeroth. But the fate of the new world tree cannot be secured until Azeroth's champions come together to face Fyrakk and his molten allies, before he devours the heart of Amirdrassil and bathes the world in flame.

This raid includes fights with Fyrakk's allies, the Zaqali Djaradin and the Druids of the Flame, dragonriding to reach the top of the tree, and culminates in a showdown with Fyrakk himself.

NEW FACTION: DREAM WARDENS

The new faction for renown and reputation this patch is the Dream Wardens. Comprised of Keepers, dryads, druids, members of the green dragonflight, and runebears, the Dream Wardens will have plenty of tasks to occupy us and rewards for us to earn. 

NEW WORLD BOSS: AUROSTOR THE HIBERNATING

The new world boss is Aurostor. This fight promises to be interesting, we won't have to kill him, just put him back to sleep for a reward chest.Aurostor follows a strict regiment of sleep. Fyrakk's assault on the Emerald Dream has disturbed this cycle, rousing the Furbolg Wild God from his slumber too soon. In a sleep deprived state, this raging Wild God attacks any passersby in an attempt to wear himself out.

NEW PUBLIC EVENTS: SUPERBLOOM, EMERALD FRENZY, AND EMERALD BOUNTY

The Emerald Dream will feature a new set of public events which work together in a cycle.
Superbloom
An Ancient called Sprucecrown spreads the bloom. Help by defending it and completing tasks.
Emerald Frenzy
Fight over-excited bloomers, collect currency, and gather seeds.
Emerald Bounty
Plant seeds and reap the rewards. The more folks participating, the more bounty for all.
